Chris Carboni is an award-winning creative director and filmmaker working at the intersection of animation, design, and emerging forms of visual storytelling.

A native New Yorker, Chris grew up in the galleries of Manhattan alongside his father, the artist Richard Carboni. He later studied Animation, Illustration, and Graphic Design at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where he began merging these disciplines into a career in animated storytelling.

Chris collaborates with brands, agencies, and studios to develop visually distinctive campaigns, launch films, and narrative-driven experiences. His work spans global product launches, experimental films, and interactive media exploring new creative workflows and storytelling tools.

Based in Brooklyn, Chris also operates through Reunion, a flexible creative studio he founded to assemble teams of collaborators around ambitious animation and design projects. Alongside client work, he continues to develop original films and experimental projects exploring new directions in visual storytelling.

Chris’s work has received recognition including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Motion Design, two D&AD Graphite Pencils, four Vimeo Staff Picks, an ADC Award, two Webby nominations, and two Motion Awards. His films have screened nationally and internationally at museums, educational institutions, film festivals, and commercial venues.
